Visiting Plaza Mont Kiara's bright-&-breezy cafes Nemo & Pedro Espresso.
First, finding Nemo, where the fish & chips come recommended.
Can't say we're wowed though; these taste essentially like regular dory fish fingers.
Deep-fried shrimp, calamari, soft-shell crab & mussels. All OK, but average at best.
What we would recommend: chunky battered chips, hot & fluffy. Excellent.
Can mushy peas be too mushy? Yes. Can tartar sauce be skipped completely? Yes again.
For dessert/drinks, Pedro Espresso is one option in this Starbucks-&-McD's-dominated complex.
Alas, Pedro's Belgian waffles taste a tad too doughy; the ice cream's cold comfort.
Peanut butter & banana toast, something simple that some can make at home.
Pedro's coffee? Not too bad, but lacking a crucial complexity. Still, that's OK.
