Checking out a couple of hyper-caffeinated cafes: Kaffa Espresso Bar at Damansara Uptown & Huggs Coffee at Tun Razak's Icon commercial building.
First up, Kaffa, a hideout where friends can cluster over coffee as well as sandwiches with tantalizing twists.

Can't complain about this croissant, bursting with a creamy-curried, tea-tinged egg filling.
Turkey breast, cranberry sauce, mayo, chopped walnuts & Swiss cheese, crammed into ciabatta, coupled with mouthwatering mashed potatoes & a light, crisply fresh salad. Meals seldom seem more balanced than this.
Caveat: Kaffa's coffee is rather nondescript. Latte & mocha, both OK but unmemorable.
Still, it's a cozy place that deserves to do well. The menu also offers salads, pastas, burgers & beef ribs. Wish there were wine too.
Next up: Huggs Coffee, an offshoot of a Singaporean business.
Sandwiches flood the food menu here too, from foccacia filled with Cajun-spiced chicken ...
... to ciabatta with honey-baked ham & cheese, adequate for the breakfast-&-lunch office crowd.
French chocolate & "Retro" Italian sweetened coffee. Perfectly drinkable.
