Its straight-to-the-point name & no-nonsense setting both serve to sharpen Burger & Ribs' focus: the meat of the matter here is, well, the meat.
One of the Klang Valley's priciest pork burgers (RM38.90, no taxes). The payoff rests in the unassuming-looking patty, built with hand-pressed Spanish Iberico pork.
Worth the premium? Somewhat, to sample once. It oozes savory juices (brace for sodium). Still too expensive? No fear: a RM16.90 non-Iberico pork burger is available.
Memphis-style pulled pork burger (RM20.90), a favorite of this outlet's owners, Malaysian husband-&-wife team Leslie & Joyce, whose young children might be the first friendly faces spotted by customers at the entrance.
This burger that combines pork & Aussie beef in its egg-topped patty (RM19.90) is pretty tasty too. Other options include a RM12.90 BBQ chicken burger & an RM11.90 vegetarian falafel one. All buns are made by Burger & Ribs' own associate.
Ribs, also Iberico, RM59.90 for a half-slab (non-Iberico costs RM32.90). Familiar food for outlet founder-chef Leslie: he once toiled at the kitchen of Tony Roma's in Hawaii.
Burger & Ribs opens for dinner, 6pm-10pm, & is closed Tuesdays.
